# Account Recovery

Account recovery is a feature that you can enable once guards are added to your account. Simply access 'Guards' in the 'Hub' section and overview your current guards setup. Feel free to add additional guards or remove unwanted guards at your convenience.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Changing the guards would require further verifications from your existing guards. This is to avoid risky behaviors.
{% endhint %}

Once your account is set up and guards are added, recovering your account is super easy.

**If you're using Versa, all you need to do is follow these steps:**

1. Download or open the Versa app.
2. Select " I already have an account " to start the recovery process.
3. Choose the network your account resides in.
4. Connect your guards, select the desired account, and proceed with verification.

That's it. All without needing to use a seed phrase!

With account recovery enabled, your wallet is easily recoverable without compromising security.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://versawallet.gitbook.io/versa-docs/functions-and-plugins/account-recovery.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
